about me

I worked in the insurance, trust and fiduciary industries for 20 years. Through numerous roles, I researched opportunities to introduce new products and diversify business. I set up new business lines. Also, I implemented new work systems, upgraded old ones and formalised resources for use in marketing and operations.

A key skill was writing. Think of business and project proposals, concept documents, application packages, product fact sheets, progress reports, operating and compliance procedures, training manuals.

The aim was to communicate - and get a response.

Words, properly crafted, stir and appeal to the intellect and to the emotion. This is what makes writing exciting.

my Approach

I bring out the core features of the subjects I write about. I do it with honesty and simplicity so that the message is compelling and resonates with the reader.

As a writer, I step into the mind of the reader, I journey into the world I write about, and I experience the challenges that drive the person to seek; these and more motivate me to write with empathy.
